Krea Launches 'CAN DO' Division

October 14 2014

Healthcare fieldwork specialist Krea has taken the unusual step of turning what began as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative into a separate division of its company. 'CAN DO' provides opportunities for people with disabilities and will offer data collection along with archival and scanning services.

Pravin ShekarKrea began providing training and providing employment to people with disabilities three and a half years ago, and now counts 35% of its staff as people with visual, hearing or physical impairments, working on panel recruitment, data collection and desk research duties.

The firm's 'Kreator-in-Chief' Pravin Shekar says: 'CAN DO was incubated in Krea and provides skill development, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for people with disabilities. Having trained over 30 resources, CAN DO now has a short-term target of empowering 100 such achievers.'

The new division, headed up by Krea Director Anuradha Krishnamoorthy, will offer exit and satisfaction interviews, in addition to its archive work. A separate web site is at www.cando.ind.in .

Krea was founded in March 2010 in Chennai by Dexterity co-founder and 'serial entrepreneur' Pravin Shekar, and boasts 'the largest physician panel for India', covering KOLs, specialists, GPs, patients and hard-to-reach segments. This year it has launched specialist panels for oncology and diabetes. Web site: www.krea.in .
