Groupon to Hire Data Specialists in Dublin

Daily deals site Groupon is to create 100 new jobs for an Engineering & Marketing Centre in Dublin. Skills sought include data analysis, digital marketing and software engineering staff.

Launched in 2008, Chicago-based Groupon offers online access to discounted gift certificates which can be used to buy goods or services from local or national retailers. The new Dublin location will act as an R&D centre, focusing on the development of technology platforms that can be used across Groupon's 500+ local markets.

Over the next two years, the firm is planning to treble its workforce in Ireland, where staff will work across areas such as advanced customer analytics, marketing automation, content delivery and core systems architecture.
