Turner Hires C4's Cosa for Insights Role

The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division of broadcaster Turner has hired Channel 4 insight exec Pedro Cosa for a newly created role, Vice President Insights & Analytics. He will join the firm in September.

Pedro CosaTime Warner-owned Turner International operates brands including CNN, TNT, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and TCM Turner Classic Movies, as well as country- and region-specific networks and businesses in EMEA, Latin America and the Asia Pacific region. Cosa (pictured) will join after four years serving as Deputy Head of Viewer Insights and Analytics at UK broadcaster Channel 4, driving the responsible use of viewer behavioural and attitudinal understanding. Before this, he was at Vodafone for nine years, latterly as Global Senior Insights Manager; worked in Madrid as Corporate Head of Insights at NH Hotels; and held insights/research positions at Maroc Telecom, Yoigo, GfK, and AIMPLAS.

Cosa's new remit includes overseeing the Turner EMEA cross-platform business intelligence function, and collaborating with the international CNN Data Insights business to maximise all insights across Turner's brands and consumers; while also contributing at a Turner International level. He will join the Turner EMEA executive management team, reporting to report to President Turner EMEA, Giorgio Stock, who comments: 'This new role recognises Turner's focus on data capability and insights and our commitment to putting the consumer at the heart of every decision we make. Pedro is ideally suited to help us build on our existing momentum in developing and distributing great content that really resonates with our audiences, wherever and whenever they are engaging with us'.
