Seven Strategists to Give Publicis Consumer Focus

Global advertising and communications agency Publicis has redefined its strategic planning department with the appointment of seven Strategy Directors based in New York.

Tanvir Hannan joins as VP Strategy Director from his previous role as Senior Account Manager at Ipsos-ASI. Prior to this he was Senior Account Exec at Hall and Partners and Senior Project Director at ACNielsen.

SVP Strategy Director David Gleason was most recently Senior Partner Director of Insights at Ogilvy & Mather and before this was VP Brand & Consumer Research at Spike TV.

The other five recruits are Alasdair Lloyd-Jones who was formerly Senior Partner/Director of Account Planning at Ogilvy & Mather and SVP at Deutsch; Linda Krauss who joins from her previous role as Planning Director and Therapeutic Market Research Director at Arnold Worldwide; former Head of Planning at Sticky Grey Worldwide Patrick O'Hare; Abigail Posner who was Director of Brand Planning and Kid Think at DDB; and Vanessa Roma who was most recently Associate Planning Director at BBDO.stry needs a revamp,' explained Susan Gianinno, Chairman and CEO of the company's North America arm. 'It's not well-equipped to understand people today and we think the next area we should be focusing on is consumer understanding.'

The firm's new strategic initiative - which is soon to be rolled out to Publicis' Dallas and Seattle offices - will be led by Mark Hider, Exec VP-Director of Engagement Strategy for Publicis USA.
