Omnicom Opens Specialist Retail Agency

In New York, marketing services firm Omnicom Group has launched a new agency to offer strategy, activation and metrics services to retail marketers at a local level.

John WrenThe new agency, Retail 3, is led by President Harold Kobakof, previously Chief Retail Officer at BBDO, and has 40 retail expert employees spread across the country. These offer experience in creating multiplatform marketing programs designed to drive retail traffic and sales in local markets.

Retail 3 - the 3 being Strategy, Activation and Metrics - will offer these network and local activation capabilities to a range of retail industries such as quick-service restaurants, telecoms providers, insurance and financial services firms, and automotive companies.

The new company's proprietary systems promise a 360 degree view of data and metrics, linking to retail databases to allow marketers to assess what is working and what is not working, and make appropriate adjustments in real-time.
