Kids' Product Researcher Launched

In the US, marketer Penny Redlin has launched Insights Discovered, a consulting company focusing exclusively on the children's products market.

Penny Redlin and her 3-year old sonRedlin recently left her post as Director of Marketing for footwear firm Pediped, to set up the firm, which offers strategic planning, marketing and market research services for manufacturers and retailers of kids' products.

She has more than a decade of marketing experience, including time at Unilever, where she marketed children's products categories. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago as well as a certificate in child development.

Insights Discovered will tap into the ideas of 'moms' to design customized research programs, which could include secondary research, online surveys, product testing, focus groups, or interviews with customers, retailers and buyers.

'I've found that many moms have amazing ideas,' stated Redlin. 'Their passion motivates them to bring their idea to market where many find themselves distracted if not overwhelmed by the prospect of communicating their product to the world - a fundamental element of growth.'
