Nielsen Singapore has appointed Grace Liu as Head of Consumer Research, succeeding Joan Koh who was promoted to the post of Managing Director in April.
In her new role, Liu will lead the Singapore consumer research unit, and become a member of the Singapore Executive Committee. She will report to both Koh and Karthik Rao, MD of Consumer Research and BASES for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, India and Greater China.
Liu joined Nielsen in September 2009, to champion the financial services industry sector for Singapore and the Southeast Asia region. Prior to this, she led the customised research division at The Asian Banker, where she worked with major banks, regulators, and multinational firms in the technology and services sector.
Koh (pictured) joined Nielsen’s Consumer Research team in 1999, since when she has gained experience across a broad range of industries including FMCG, durables, finance, IT and telecoms. She was promoted
to her current post in April, to replace Paul Richmond, who has taken on the role of regional MD of Retail Services and Product Leadership.
