Shopper Marketing Firm Hires for New Dubai Office

Shopper marketing consultancy DCActiv has launched a new division in Dubai and named Hugo Mills, previously Diageo's GTME General Manager for the Gulf, as MD of its Global Travel Retail division (DCActiv GTR).

At Diageo, Mills focused on driving category growth and establishing key strategic partnerships with regional and global retailers, airports and distributors.

Phil Humphreys, DCActiv's Non-Executive Chairman and former MD of Diageo GTME, comments: 'Hugo has a proven track record in building outstanding customer relationships and strategic partnerships throughout his career, he has led on some very bold and successful initiatives and brings exactly the type of creativity and passion we need to drive our business forward.'

Mills says the UAE business will focus on 'innovation, great service and partnership', providing market intelligence & insight; shopper planning & strategy; next generation store design & retail innovation; and end to end brand & category activation. He adds that the company has 'clear expansion plans' worldwide for the next 12 months, based around its strategic partnership with Kantar Retail.
