Google Analytics Launches Premium Service

September 30 2011

Google has launched a premium version of its web site traffic and marketing tool Google Analytics. The new service will be available for $150,000 per annum and be available in the US, Canada and the UK.

Google's Page and BrinGoogle Analytics Premium offers its clients extra processing power; advanced analysis and modeling tools; and SLAs for both support and data collection and analysis. Price is independent of volume, which may make it attractive to companies with heavy traffic currently paying between $200k and $400k to competitors such as Webtrends, IBM and Adobe.

The company says the product 'was developed in close co-ordination with some of our largest clients' and those already signed up include Gucci, Travelocity, TransUnion and Papa John's. Some customers have been piloting the tool since March.

Google will continue with its free product and says: 'We're more committed than ever to providing our customers, large and small, with options to measure and improve their marketing efforts. Google Analytics will continue to offer a powerful, free product as it always has and you'll see plenty of new features and enhancements in the future.'
