Mintel Hires Packaging Specialist

In the UK, market intelligence company Mintel has appointed Benjamin Punchard as Senior Global Packaging Analyst, to develop its global offering.

Benjamin PunchardLaunched in 1972, Mintel focuses on consumer trends, product innovation and competitive marketing strategies. With established operations in London, Chicago, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo and Sydney, it recently announced the opening of three new offices in the Asia Pacific region, in Mumbai, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Punchard joins from Euromonitor International, where he served as Head of Global Packaging Research, responsible for research and publication of global databases across categories such as food, beverages, beauty and personal care, pet food and tobacco. While in this role, he was also ultimately responsible for designing, project managing and quality controlling the research program, involving 30 in-country analysts.

He began his career as Science Manager for packaging design and product development specialist Faraday Packaging Partnership.
