Experian Buys Data-Driven Campaign Solutions Firm

May 21 2012
Database giant Experian has bought US multi-channel campaign management software firm Conversen Inc for an undisclosed sum.

Conversen was established in 2006 and until now was owned by its founding stockholders, employees and one private investor. Driven by customer data, its software helps clients to organise, implement and manage promotional campaigns across online and off-line media in real-time - including email, mobile, social media and the web.

Experian says it will fund the acquisition from existing cash resources, and use it to bolster its own e-mail, social media, display and off-line point solutions.

Experian has operational headquarters in the UK, the US and Brazil with nearly 17,000 employees and total revenue of c.$US 4.5bn in the year to 31 March 2012.
