Obituary: Madeline McMahon, Double Helix US

Madeline McMahon, Director Strategic Market Research at Double Helix US, died suddenly on June 7th after a cerebral hemorrhage. She was 35 years old.

Madeline McMahonAfter gaining a BA in Anthropology from Temple University and an SCS in Marketing from Northwestern University, she began her career at qual company The Marketing Audit, before joining McDougal Littell as an MRE, and then spending four years as a freelance pharmaceutical MR consultant.

She then joined custom pharma research specialist Double Helix in 2010 as a Qualitative Analyst. In her most recent role at the company, she managed projects, designed strategy and provided insights across a broad range of therapy areas with a focus on oncology, orphan diseases and ophthalmology. During her four years with the company, she moved from the Philadelphia area operation to open a new office in San Francisco.

In a statement, Double Helix US President Jim Goldenberg said: 'The market research industry mourns the passing of one of it rising young stars. Madeline will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and clients. We have lost not only a valued employee, but also a good friend and colleague to all of us in the US office.'
