Vision Critical Gets $16m Equity Funds

Research community and survey tech specialist Vision Critical has secured a $16m round of funding, led by a new investor, growth equity firm Georgian Partners.

Scott MillerThe firm, which was founded in 2000 by father and son team Angus and Andrew Reid, employs around 650 staff at offices in Canada, the US, the UK, France, Germany, South Africa, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, and has revenues of around $95m. Vision Critical's flagship product, VC Insight Communities, enables companies to build private online groups of customers and prospects for gathering customer intelligence.

Northleaf Venture Catalyst Fund (NVCF) and Kensington Global Private Equity Fund participated in the new round. The funds add to $3.5m raised earlier this year; $20m in 2012, and $3m secured in 2006.
