IMS Health Debuts Data-Driven Mobile Sales App

In the US, pharma research giant IMS Health has unveiled a cloud-based sales performance solution called Nexxus Mobile Sales. The product combines continuously updated industry and customer data with expert decision support tools for sales reps.

IMS Health Debuts Data-Driven Mobile Sales AppThe company, which a fortnight ago reported second quarter revenue up 6.1% to $662m, is in the process of acquiring a half billion dollars' worth of CRM and information solutions assets from Cegedim. Of late, much of its activity has centred around the development and expansion of its IMS One intelligent cloud platform, which integrates its own life sciences data with client and third-party information sources.

Mobile Sales will form part of the Nexxus suite, which taps into IMS One to offer SaaS applications for functions such as integrated multi-channel campaign management, CRM, analytics and BI, and KPI monitoring. Mobile Sales adds a new level of territory analytics into existing CRM and sales force automation systems to provide locally relevant data to reps at the right time via a mobile app on their tablets. Advice includes which customers should be visited next, based on IMS Health's patent-pending 'Next Best Customer' methodology.
