iCharts Closes $4.3m Funding Round

Visual analytics specialist iCharts has closed a $4.3m venture funding round, which it says will help it capitalize on recent growth.

Founded in 2007, iCharts develops software to help explore, create and distribute interactive visual reports from market research and survey data. Visualizations can be created from Excel, Google docs, surveys and large data sets, or by connecting to a live database via the iCharts Analytics API. In addition, the firm recently released an application for NetSuite, which enables users to develop customized visualizations from various data sources including customer relationship management data, web analytics and social media.

The new funding round has been led by Software AG, whose Head of M&A and Corporate Ventures Frederic Hanika will join iCharts' Board of Directors.
