Mobile UX Firm Appsee Gets $2m More

October 7 2014

Israeli analytics firm Appsee has secured a $2m Series A round of funding, which it will use to develop further iOS features, launch an Android version, and pursue additional R&D.

Appsee's foundersTel Aviv-based Appsee (previously known as UserVOD) was founded in 2012 by CEO Zahi Boussiba and CTO Yoni Douek. Their platform has been designed to help companies improve the user experience across both native iOS and Android apps, by providing insights into how users interact with them. This includes the ability to capture every user screen tap, swipe and action, and aggregate the data into heatmaps for further analysis.

Last year, the firm raised $1m to launch its iOS platform. New funding comes from existing investors Giza VC, and Moshe Lichtman, as well as new investor Flint Capital.

Boussiba comments: 'Appsee's goal is to provide our app publishers with the critical insights needed to not only improve the user experience, but also to increase engagement, retention and in-app monetization. This funding will allow us to continue strengthening our product and expand our global reach in strategic markets, while continuing to service our thousands of customers around the world.'
