Explain Research Hires Three

November 19 2014

In the UK, full service agency Explain Research has appointed Kat Allen as a Market Research Executive, and Rhonda Winskill and Michael Spink as Market Research Assistants.

Kat Allen, Rhonda Winskill and Michael SpinkExplain, which was set up in 1993 by husband and wife team David and Gillian Shiel, is based in Newcastle-on-Tyne and also has an office in London's Covent Garden. As well as its full service offer and online research communities, Explain recently partnered with Durham-based REALsafe Technologies to the launch the REALRIDER Research Panel, which it describes as the industry's first dedicated online research panel of motorcycle users.

Allen joins after four years at Northumbria Police and with a BSC (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology and an MA in Applied Policy Research. In her new role, she will work with a team that manages both qual and quant projects, and will manage clients in sectors such as social housing.

Winskill joins with a degree in Geography from Dundee University, and Spink joins for a twelve-month placement as part of his Business Management degree at Newcastle University. At Explain, both will support the qual and quant teams.

Research Director Emma Hopkins comments: 'Our new recruits are the perfect additions to the Explain team and join us at an exciting time. We have just re-launched our online communities product Explain Communities, embarked upon our collaboration with North East-based business REALRIDER, and have a new product launch on the horizon. There is plenty for our new recruits to be getting stuck into.'
