MarketShare Names Tech Advisory Board

US-based cross-media analytics firm MarketShare has formed a Technology Advisory Board comprising five ad technology and big data software leaders, including former execs from Google, Facebook and Yahoo!, to help guide its future product innovation and development.
Founded in 2005 and part-funded by U2 front-man Bono, MarketShare offers a suite of software solutions which combine advanced analytics and statistical modelling to help companies improve their sales and marketing strategies. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, California with offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Tokyo and Bangalore.
Its new Board includes:
- Greg Badros, founder of advisory firm Prepared Mind Innovations, who was previously VP of Engineering and Products at Facebook, and Senior Director of Engineering at Google.
- David Champagne, Chief Architect and VP Research at Revolution Analytics, and previously Principal Architect/Engineer for SPSS.
- Gokul Rajaram, Product Engineering Lead at Square, prior to which he was Product Director, Ads at Facebook; co-Founder and CEO of semantic technology firm Chai Labs (later acquired by Facebook); and Product Management Director at Google AdSense.
- John Slade, consultant to multiple Internet companies on digital marketing strategies and products, who previously served as SVP, Product Management at Rubicon Project; and VP, Product Management at Yahoo!
- Mike Smith, CTO at Verisk Analytics, previously CTO/Chief Architect at Interthinx and Chief Software Architect at Strategic Analytics (acquired by Verisk).
