Millward Brown Promotes and Hires in Shanghai

February 4 2015

Brand, media and comms researcher Millward Brown has promoted Chirantan Ray to the role of Managing Director in its Shanghai office; and appointed Robert Fuchs as Head of Media and Digital for Greater China and North Asia - also based in Shanghai.

Chirantan RayRay (pictured) previously served as Deputy MD, and before this held client leadership roles at Millward Brown Shanghai. Prior to joining the company, he held senior level insight roles at TNS in China and India, and was a Research Director at Perception Research Services in the US.

Deepender Rana, MD of Greater China, comments: 'Chirantan's promotion highlights the great depth of talent in our organization. He is a great role model for our emerging leaders who want to learn about creating meaningful impact for our clients' businesses.'

Fuchs joins in Shanghai with twenty years' experience in the region. He previously worked at agencies such as Mediacom, JWT, Leo Burnett, Grey and the Aegis group in a variety of roles, primarily in the advanced analytics area. He joins following the recent appointment of former Mediacom exec Agelica Hao as the Director of Media and Digital for the Beijing office. Additionally Nripen Peddibhotla (Peddi) will take on the newly created role of Head of Coca-Cola account for Greater China, after an eighteen-year career with the group.

Rana adds: 'As Chinese brands grow both locally and on the global stage, they look to partners who can help them drive success. Like our clients, we have an aggressive talent agenda in China and with the appointments of Robert, Agelica, Chirantan and Peddi we are delighted to be strengthening our organization.'
