Firms Launch Open-Ended Response Authenticity Check

Sampling, data collection and analytics firm SSI and identity validation specialist Imperium have partnered to launch a cloud-based tool called Real Answer, which aims to improve the authenticity and quality of open-ended survey responses.

Firms Launch Open-Ended Response Authenticity CheckReal Answer detects participants who answer with gibberish, inappropriate language, and pasted or robotic responses in real-time. It can also determine engagement by evaluating an answer with reference to the length of response as compared to other answers to the same question.

In addition, the tool evaluates open-ended survey responses against several factors and determines the significance of those factors. A score of 0 to 100 is then generated based on the quality of the response given, and a numeric Real Answer score is provided along with an indication of which factors contributed to the score. The tool is currently only available in the US, but will soon be rolled out to other countries.

Commenting on the launch, Bob Fawson, SSI's Chief Access, Supply and Engagement Officer claims: 'No one besides SSI offers this technology today. By rolling out this new functionality, our clients benefit by saving time and money by preventing undesirable respondents from registering or completing surveys.'
