Smurfit Kappa Debuts Product Performance Tool

Paper-based packaging firm Smurfit Kappa has launched a service called 'Shelf Smart', to help retail clients improve product performance at the point-of-purchase.

High-tech launch for Smurfit KappaThe firm, which has headquarters in Dublin, Paris and Miami, designs, manufactures and supplies a range of paper packaging solutions and point of sale (POS) displays. Shelf Smart combines the company's packaging expertise, shopper insights and technology, to help clients identify their optimum shopper marketing solutions, and measure the results with real shoppers.

The product taps into Smurfit Kappa's Shelf Viewer technology, which compares the positioning and merchandising of up to 22,000 other products and placements, then uses a 3D visualizer, before finally testing its impact on shoppers using online eye tracking tools developed in partnership with EyeSee.
