DataTorrent Raises Innovation and Growth Funds

In the US, big data analytics firm DataTorrent has raised $15m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to drive product innovation and company growth.

Santa Clara, California-based DataTorrent has developed a solution called RTS, which it claims is proven in production environments to reduce time to market, development costs and operational expenditures. The firm's new funding has been led by Singtel Innov8, with participation from General Electric and existing investors, and brings the total raised to date to $23.8m.
