Telmar Hires Former TAB President Anna Fountas

In New York, targeting and media planning software company Telmar has hired former Traffic Audit Bureau President Anna Fountas as President of the Americas.

Anna FountasEstablished in 1968, Telmar provides analytics tools for media and audience planning, targeting and segmentation, as well as survey analysis and data integration software. It also collects, stores and manages media research data. Its systems have around 25,000 users across 100 countries.

Fountas (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience in research, product development and executive management positions. Most recently, she served as VP Research at not-for profit trade association DPA, prior to which she was SVP Sales & Marketing at TNS Media Intelligence (now Kantar Media), and held senior research consultancy roles at Scarborough Research and POPAI (the Point of Purchase Advertising association). Before this, she spent eight years at the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB), where she helped modernize the out-of-home measurement system, and at Simmons she helped create a strategy for Hispanic measurement services. Earlier at Arbitron, she led the team that developed the first PC-based ad expenditure application for advertising data.

In her new role, Fountas will lead Telmar's sales and client service divisions in the US, Canada and South America, and report to Global President Corey Panno, who is adding the title of Chief Growth Officer to his role. Chairman & CEO Stan Federman comments: 'Our software provides the critical capability for the advertising industry at this pivotal time. By fortifying our management team, we can speed the development of new applications and, most importantly, expand the usage of the system so advertisers continually improve their return on data'.
