ASEAN Expansion for Northstar

Full service agency Northstar Research Partners has opened an office in Jakarta, Indonesia, and plans further locations in China and India. Meity Rahtomo will lead the new hub as Managing Director ASEAN.

The firm, which has established offices in London, Toronto and New York, notes that at the end of 2015 the ten ASEAN member states are set to unify into a single economic zone, expected to be one of the fastest-growing economic regions in the world.

The company was established in 1998 and has more than 50 staff. Execs from the London office will provide support for the new ASEAN team, with Noah Roychowdhury adding the role of Principal for ASEAN to his existing duties and splitting his time between London and Jakarta; and London-based James Vaughn Smith also taking on additional responsibilities as Operations Manager for ASEAN.

Rahtomo (pictured) has fourteen years of industry experience including spells at TNS Indonesia, Synovate Indonesia and Synovate Malaysia.
