QVC Hires P&G Veteran for New Planning & Analysis Arm

In the US, home shopping channel QVC has hired P&G veteran Sanjay Singh as Senior Vice President, in charge of its newly formed Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) division. He will be based at the firm's headquarters at West Chester, PA.

New Planning & Analysis Arm for QVCThe company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Interactive Corporation, provides its customers with beauty, fashion, jewellery and home products through TV, eCommerce and mobile programs distributed to approximately 300 million homes worldwide.

Singh served most recently as SVP, Finance at retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, responsible for the company's strategic planning, real estate finance, franchising and capital. Before this, he spent 22 years at Procter & Gamble, where he latterly served as Global Division CFO, Beauty Care, and earlier held financial leadership roles in North East Asia, China, South Korea and India.

In his new role, Singh will lead a group tasked with tapping into market information and global financial, business and operating metrics, in order to create plans to drive the business. He will report to Ted Jastrzebski, CFO and EVP of Strategy, who comments: 'Sanjay has a demonstrated track record of leading strategy development and execution for several global retail and consumer product companies. His breadth of international experience and expertise position him well to work cross-functionally at QVC to drive continued success across our global markets, while remaining focused on the customer'.
