Simpson Carpenter Appoints Head of Digital

UK research consultancy Simpson Carpenter has appointed former Cello Health Insight Director Dave Bostock as Head of Digital.

Dave BostockBostock has been Director of Digital Innovation at the Cello division for the past 18 months, and has spent around four years at Cello Group. Prior to this he managed the operations team for online community specialist Verve, after working in the USA for Carbonview Research and MarketTools Inc.

The move is the latest in a series of senior appointments, following the retirement of co-founder Derek Carpenter at the end of last year. Bostock takes 'digital responsibility' across all the agency's specialisms including retail, tech, automotive and pharmaceutical.

Founder Tom Simpson says of the hire: 'Dave's understanding of the pharma sector's use of digital technologies is second to none and will obviously be of great importance to us - but his role will encompass all our verticals. His experience in all elements of digital strategy, particularly in areas such as online communities and mobile research, will be immensely valuable and will bring huge benefits for our clients in all sectors'.
