October 9 2015

In London, customer data 'onboarding' specialist LiveRamp has hired former AudienceScience MD Richard Foster for its newly created role of UK Managing Director.

Richard FosterLiveRamp, which is owned by enterprise data and analytics company Acxiom, specialises in unlocking data from CRM systems and other applications, and integrating these offline sources with online data. This is then pulled into targeting, measurement and personalization products developed by its partners, to help brands run more efficient marketing programs.

Foster (pictured) joins from machine learning ad targeting specialist Intelligent Optimisations, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer; prior to which, he was European MD at web data provider Krux Digital; and he served as UK MD for privacy organisation TRUSTe. Earlier, he was Digital Director at Future Publishing, UK MD at behavioural targeting firm AudienceScience, and he held senior sales roles at The Guardian and The Economist.

In his new position, Foster is responsible for establishing LiveRamp's presence in the UK, and creating demand for the firm's Data Onboarding and Customer Link services.

Travis May, President and GM at LiveRamp, comments: 'With his entrepreneurial background and experience leading global expansions for digital marketing companies, Richard will be crucial to shaping and developing the LiveRamp proposition within the UK market. We have seen a huge appetite for our data onboarding capabilities in the US and see Europe as a key strategic part of our future.'
