dunnhumby Ventures Leads New Askuity Funding

January 12 2016

Canadian retail analytics software provider Askuity has closed a $2m Series A round of funding, led by existing investor dunnhumby Ventures.

Eric GreenAskuity offers a big data analytics platform providing retailers and manufacturers access to automated POS data combined with analytics tools and mobile technology. Through the platform, users can reduce out-of-stocks, optimize assortments, measure the ROI of promotional programs, and improve understanding of their customers and their market.

The new investment, led by seed-stage investment fund dunnhumby Ventures, will be used to fuel sales and marketing efforts for both new and existing markets, and adds to the $1.8m seed round of funding raised last May.

CEO and co-founder Eric Green (pictured) comments: 'Some of our customers are new to retail analytics and have recognized the need to do more with their data, while others have adopted the Askuity platform as a step-change improvement in their existing analytics capabilities. Our easy-to-use platform is driving actionable insights and increased visibility across the organization, powering our customers' businesses and boosting their bottom lines'.
