Kadence Owner Partners for Neuromarketing Offer

Tokyo-based Cross Marketing Group (CMG) - owner of research agency Kadence - has teamed up with marketing consultancy Centan Inc. to develop an 'enhanced neuromarketing service'.

CMG's Yukihiko OkuyamaThe new service will combine Cross Marketing's MR capabilities - which already include depth interviews designed to 'uncover the consumer subconscious' - with Centan's neuroscience technology and expertise. Centan's marketing consulting - driven by a team of psychology and neuroscience specialists - uses cognitive and other neuroscience to help clients measure and enhance the effectiveness of their TV commercials by comparing accumulated data on viewers' brain waves.

CEO Takanobu Tanaka comments: 'I am excited about this business alliance with Cross Marketing, as it is an opportunity for more companies to take advantage of the technologies and methodologies that Centan has to offer'. According to Yukihiko Okuyama (pictured), General Manager of Cross Marketing's Promotional Strategy and Marketing Department, the partnership is 'not an effort to simply add another offer to Cross Marketings service line-up, it also marks our company's challenge in a totally new research domain'.

CMG bought UK-based Kadence International just over a year ago for an undisclosed sum.
