NICE Buys Call Center Software Firm inContact

In the US, customer experience software developer NICE is to acquire call center software specialist inContact for around $940m.

Barak EilaminContact offers automated call distributor software, computer telephone integration (CTI) software, and interactive voice response (IVR) with speech recognition. In addition, the firm offers multiple customer satisfaction survey solutions, gathers real-time comments, measures retention, and provides reports summarizing and analysing feedback. These solutions will be combined with NICE's own products for capturing and applying insights from structured and unstructured data.

Under the terms of the agreement, inContact stockholders will receive $14.00 per share in cash - a 55% premium to the closing price on May 17th. Barak Eilam (pictured), CEO of NICE, comments: 'We look forward to working with the talented management team and employees to accelerate inContact's customer relationships and strengthen its market position in cloud contact center software. We worked hard to make this deal happen because we understand the tremendous value that inContact can bring to its customers and the marketplace'.
