Crimson Hexagon Offers Simple Social Media Analysis

Social media analyst Crimson Hexagon has launched a real-time social media analysis service called HelioSight.

Three months ago, the company announced it had raised $20m in a round of equity financing, with expansion of its product range highlighted as one of the key areas for investment.

Billed as 'a social intelligence search and discovery product', HelioSight promises to give 'users across all levels of the enterprise' social media intelligence in 'an easily consumable and shareable format'. At present, this means searching Twitter's full repository of posts from the last 30 days, with results 'near-instantaneous' and including demographics, affinities and emotions on any brand, product or topic. Reporting includes data visualization cards and simple text descriptions with relevant insights highlighted, and allows subsequent filtering and drilling down for more detail.

CEO Stephanie Newby says the product is 'democratizing social intelligence that matters most to brands and instantly arming every business user - not just the data analysts - with the analytics superpowers of a data scientist'.
