Cision Hires Chief Strategy and Insights Officer

Media intelligence provider Cision has appointed Sean O'Driscoll as Chief Strategy and Insights Officer.

Sean O'Driscoll Formerly known as Romeike, the company helps marketing and PR professionals identify key media and influencers through its Social Influencer Search, as well as monitoring both traditional and social media. In 2014, the firm merged with PR software provider Vocus and then acquired social media listening and engagement software specialist Visible Technologies and UK-based media intelligence firm Gorkana.

O'Driscoll (pictured) joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was a Partner with global leadership responsibilities for digital transformation, social and community technologies practices. Prior to this, he ran his own social media listening specialist Ant's Eye View (AEV), which he sold to PwC in 2012. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, including General Manager of its MVP Program and Community Support organization.

In his new role, O'Driscoll will lead corporate strategy, corporate development, business development, customer success, managed services, and insights. In addition, Cision has appointed Robert Coppola as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
