Connell Group Hires Healthcare Researcher David Farmer

Chicago-based MR firm The Connell Group has hired healthcare researcher David Farmer as Director of Qualitative Research in its Healthcare and Life Sciences practice.

Founded in 2000, The Connell Group provides services throughout the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Farmer (pictured) joins from full service agency Radius Global Market Research, where he served as a Consultant, managing and executing qual and quant projects and developing healthcare/biopharma research capabilities. Prior to this, he worked for ZS Associates as a Senior Qualitative Researcher, was Research Manager at MarketTools, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical Analyst at Leo J. Shapiro & Associates, and Senior Marketing Research Analyst at Abbott Laboratories. Earlier in his career, Farmer worked at the KMR Group, where he benchmarked and analyzed clinical trial and R&D data.

In his new role, Farmer will manage qual research for healthcare and life sciences clients. He will report to founder and Qualitative Practice Lead Sean Connell, who comments: 'David brings a wealth of experience that is rare among qualitative researchers in healthcare today. His broad, personal understanding of the actual science of healthcare allows him to credibly interact with diverse respondents from cardiologists to translational researchers to lab directors.
