January 9 2017

Westminster, London-based agency ComRes has appointed former Fujitsu executive Simon Carter as CEO, and says it will announce the launch of two new business practices later this month, a Faith Research Consultancy and an Internal Communications Practice.

Simon CarterCarter was the Japanese giant's VP & Head of Marketing for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, and previously held Board level and senior management positions at Thomas Cook, the Post Office, EDF Energy, Virgin and NatWest Bank. Chairman and founder Andrew Hawkins sayd the company is gearing up for an exciting year: 'during uncertain times, organisations need support and the best informed advice to help make difficult decisions. ComRes has been doing this for more than a decade, and in recognition of the unique circumstances that we are all faced with, we are making changes to better meet the needs of our clients - starting with a very senior hire to work with me in leading our business day to day'. Carter himself comments: 'We are entering unprecedented times for just about every organisation in this country - from BREXIT to technology change, from evolving regulatory pressure to an absence of barriers of entries for new competitors... I am excited by the opportunity to use my experience as a customer, to work with this established team of professionals, in providing better insight to those businesses grappling with these challenges'.

The company was formed in 2003 and focuses on corporate reputation, public policy and communications. Headquartered in Westminster and with offices in Brussels and Shanghai, it is online at www.comresglobal.com .|
