DataSpring Launches PanelNow App

Global panel and survey software firm dataSpring has launched a new mobile survey app called PanelNow to its offering, giving access to mobile consumers in South Korea.

Available for Android and iOS phones and tablets, the app allows researchers to run surveys in a mobile-optimized platform with features such as in-app survey notification and device-blocking capability; and panelists to answer surveys on their mobile devices at a time and place convenient for them. Users complete a short profiling survey and are rewarded for survey completion with points.

The launch comes less than six months after the debut of dataSpring's first panel app, surveyon, developed in partnership with one of its investors, Intage Singapore Pte. Ltd. surveyon panels have been built in Taiwan and Indonesia, with 15,000 members. At present, the Korean panel stands at just over 1,000.

Saehee Kim, dataSpring GM in Korea, comments: 'Many of our local clients conduct device neutral surveys to maximize feasibility, but we are seeing an increased demand for mobile-only projects. Building a strong mobile research panel in Korea is one of our key priorities this year'. Product Manager Semee Park adds: 'We built a device-blocking capability within our surveyon and PanelNow system so that our clients can also utilize our online panels to boost mobile samples. With this feature, we are able to run mobile-only surveys in all our proprietary panels in APAC and Korea. That's access to over 100,000 active panelists in APAC alone!'

More mobile panels are set to launch within the year. Headquartered in Japan, the company has more than two million panelists globally, with proprietary panels in Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. It also offer sample in more than 35 countries, and field and tabs services from questionnaire design to reporting.
