January 20 2017

In Detroit, full service agency Market Strategies International (MSI) has promoted Paul Hartley to SVP, MD of the Technology and Telecommunications division, replacing Jean Malarkey who recently announced her retirement. Separately, Leigh Admirand has joined the team at SVP level.

Paul Hartley and Jean MalarkeyHartley takes up his new role leading the 30-member Tech & Telcom team with more than twenty years' experience in the sectors, with the last decade focused on the US market. Before joining the company in 2013, he was VP, Telecom & Tech at comScore, and he led the North American office at LGR Telecommunications.

Malarkey is retiring after a decade at the company, and a career that has included serving in senior positions at Doxus, Gartner, and Griggs-Anderson Research. MSI President Melissa Sauter comments: 'Paul's deep subject matter expertise and his hands-on approach to managing everything from large tracking studies and international qual to B2B research and new methodologies will serve our Tech and Telecom clients extremely well. We owe Jean a huge debt of gratitude for forging a strong, unified team and growing the division significantly during her tenure, and we're delighted that she is going to continue to serve the company as a senior consultant on a project basis'.

Admirand spent the last nine years at Vision Critical, executing custom research engagements and client insight communities, before which she led Ipsos' tech practice in San Francisco.
