Ghazi Named CEO of WPP's Data Alliance

In New York, WPP has promoted Anas Ghazi to Chief Executive Officer of its Data Alliance business. He replaces Nick Nyhan, who will remain on the Board.

Anas GhaziThe Data Alliance comprises experts from the wider WPP network of market researchers and specialists in CRM, media and digital technology, who help the group's clients assess their available data and make the best use of it. Ghazi (pictured) joined in 2013, and most recently served as MD of Global Partnerships, responsible for partnership strategy and team expansion into the Indian and Indonesian markets. Earlier, he worked for American Express as Senior Manager, Capability - Consumer Card Services Group, and he was a Senior Client Consultant at TransUnion.

Nyhan, whom he replaces, was recently named Chairman of WPP's digital data collection arm Lightspeed, while remaining Chief Digital Officer at Kantar. Commenting on the changes, Nyhan said: 'The Data Alliance team measures its success by connecting people with similar data needs and in support of WPP clients, operating companies and partners. Anas has proven he can identify the needs, fill the gaps creatively, and get things done in diverse situations'.
