Expansion for Informa Agribusiness Division

Informa subsidiary Agribusiness intelligence has launched an agricultural insight platform, IEG Vu, focused on the processed food and soft commodity markets; and has recently added more than twenty new analysts to its team.

Informa's Business Intelligence division was expanded and restructured last month following the acquisition of brands and businesses from New York-based Penton Information Services in November 2016. Agribusiness intelligence has added Penton's Food & Restaurant Market service and says it now provides 'complete expert coverage... of the agribusiness value chain from farm to fork'. Its six core sectors are crop protection and seed, animal health, fertilizers, agri commodities, food processing & food policy and legislation.

The Agribusiness intelligence team has added more than 20 new analyst positions, bringing its total to more than 150.

IEG Vu (ieg-vu.com) is a subscription-based news and insights platform powered by content from publications including Foodnews, The Public Ledger and Dairy Markets and providing detailed commodity information. The launch follows that of IEG Vantage (www.ieg-vantage.com/info ) last year, offering high-value proprietary research, data, forecasting and expert analysis.

New web platforms with enhanced functionality have been launched or will launch shortly for Animal Pharm, an animal health and nutrition news analysis platform; crop protection news and insights platform Agrow; Fertecon, offering fertilizer market intelligence; and IEG Policy, a new EU and US food and agricultural policy service.
