Nielsen Veteran Jim Miller Joins Illumination Research

US-based global consumer and shopper insights agency Illumination Research has appointed former Nielsen / BASES exec Jim Miller as Vice President of Quantitative Insights & Clients Services.

Jim MillerFounded in 2005 by former Procter and Gamble execs Karri and Jeff Bass, Illumination offers a full range of qual, quant, shopper, social media and multicultural research services, using both face-to-face and online methods. Miller (pictured) joins with more than 30 years' market research supplier experience. He began his career with Nielsen's new product optimization and sales forecasting division BASES, where he later served as European MD, before returning to the US to work as the division's Global Product Management & Development Leader, charged with introducing new services, modelling platforms, and data collection methods. In 2010, he moved across to Nielsen as Global Business Director, and more recently, he served as North America Client Business Partner, in charge of a team of more than 100 professional staff supporting CPG manufacturer clients.

In his new role, Miller will lead Illumination's Quantitative business. CEO Karri Bass comments: 'We are thrilled to have Jim as one of our senior leaders.
