Schlesinger's Schmiedl Buys Active Research

Schlesinger Group-owned German fieldwork services agency Schmiedl Marktforschung has acquired Hamburg-based focus group facility provider and data collection specialist Active Research, for an undisclosed sum.

Founded by MD Thomas Oellrich (pictured) twenty years ago, Active Research will now rebrand as 'Schmiedl Marktforschung Hamburg, A Schlesinger Company'. It will continue to be led by Oellrich, who says the acquisition will allow the business to expand its range of services and tap into Schlesinger Group's resources and global reach.
