In Chicago, online MR cost-sharing platform Collaborata has appointed long-time Euromonitor exec Scott Rencher as Vice President of Sales and Business Development.
Founded in 2016 by father and son Peter and Jimmy Zollo, Collaborata brings together clients who have similar research needs to collaborate on projects. Clients post details of their projects on the site, then research suppliers, who are rated on the site by clients, bid on those projects using a bespoke software 'wizard'. Once a vendor is selected, a funding goal is established together with a timeline, and co-funding begins.
Rencher (pictured) brings twenty years' industry experience. He joined market intelligence provider Euromonitor in 1998, then spent the next seventeen years there, in a variety of roles - latterly as Director of North American Sales, having previously been Country Manager for the firm's Latin American regional strategy and business development, based in Santiago, Chile. More recently, he was Director of Sales at purchase data and survey app firm InfoScout, and in between he worked for custom research provider MarketsandMarkets as VP Business Development and Sales.
