Clarivate Hires General Manager for Converis System

Innovation insights firm Clarivate has appointed Caroline Birkle as General Manager of its research information management system Converis, leading an international team across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Caroline BirkleConveris supports universities, research institutions and funding agencies, collecting and managing data across the research life cycle. The solution is used by faculties, librarians and research managers to showcase the outputs and impact of research, and integrates with Clarivate Analytics' existing platform and products, as well as several third-party products.

Birkle (pictured) will join on 16th April from scientific and medical publishing house Thieme Chemistry in Germany, where she serves as MD with overall P&L responsibility for electronic publications, leading an international team of editorial, production and software development staff. She previously held publishing positions with the Royal Society of Chemistry, Thomson Reuters and Holtzbrinck Publishers.
