M&C Saatchi's LIDA Launches 'Magic Beans' Data Arm

In Australia, M&C Saatchi Group's customer experience arm LIDA has launched a data consultancy called Magic Beans, combining data science with marketing experience. The new division is led by Head of Data & Customer Experience, Lucy Acheson.

Lucy AchesonThe new standalone consultancy comprises a team of strategists and data scientists with experience across a multitude of industries from financial services to retail, and with expertise including data visualisation, DP and MarTech consultancy. Magic Beans will work with a range of clients from those who are just beginning to 'dabble' with data, to those with a full dataset in need of new insights.

Acheson (pictured) steps up to lead the initiative after nearly three years at LIDA, and a career which has included senior data roles at DDB, WDMP, EHS Brann and Tree. She says of the launch: 'Our industry is absolutely drowning in data, but marketers are struggling to get their hands-on insights.
