March 16 2018

US-based experience management solutions firm Qualtrics has launched operations in Poland, opening a new office in Kraków which will serve as the company's EMEA engineering center.

Piotr UrygaFounded sixteen years ago by brothers Ryan and Jared Smith, their father Scott, and Stuart Orgill, Qualtrics started out as a DIY survey technology firm, but now helps clients manage 'the four core experiences of business - customer, product, employee and brand experiences - on one platform'. Last year, the company raised $180m in a Series C round of funding, valuing it at $2.5 billion. It now has offices in thirteen countries on three continents, and employs more than 1,600 people.

The new office is led by Head of Qualtrics Poland, Piotr Uryga (pictured), and will create 120 new jobs by the end of 2019, including software engineers and graduates from science and business disciplines for a variety of roles, including engineering and product management. The engineering office will be one of three focusing on new software development, product management and innovation.

John Thimsen, Head of Engineering, comments: 'It's an incredibly exciting time to be part of Qualtrics - our technology is changing the world of data and insights and I'm delighted to be able to leverage the best engineering talent in Poland to play a key role in taking our platform to the next level. We're a technology-led company and the work our team will do in Kraków will set the stage for our continued global growth in the coming years at Qualtrics'.
