Singapore Office for Analyst Firm CRU

London-based metals, mining and fertilizer industry analyst CRU has opened an office in Singapore. Paul Butterworth, Manager of the firm's Steel Raw Materials and Costs team, will relocate to Singapore this month lead it as Country Manager.

CRU celebrates its 50th anniversary next year, and combines ongoing investment in primary research with expert teams in key locations worldwide. It employs more than 260 in more than ten offices, with other locations including Europe, the Americas and Australia. Services includes market analysis, price assessments, consultancy and events.

The company has a growing presence in Asia Pacific including locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Sydney, Mumbai and Tokyo. Butterworth (pictured), who joined CRU in 2012 and worked previously at firms including Tata Steel, Corus, British Steel and the International Iron and Steel Institute, will be joined in the new office by a number of colleagues 'over the coming months'.
