Expansion for Irish Geospatial Data Firm Esri

Digital mapping company Esri Ireland is spending EUR 1.6m on an upgrade to its Dublin headquarters, along with expansion into Northern Ireland.

Paul SynnottThe firm's location data technology helps clients gain insights into where and why customers behave as they do, and Esri is planning a new managed services offering to integrate geographic information systems into business processes.

The investment will also fuel an increase in headcount and development of its technology platforms. Esri currently has 75 employees, a third of them added in the last year, while revenue has climbed 13% in 12 months, to EUR 7.8m.

Paul Synnott (pictured), Director and Country Manager of Esri Ireland, comments: 'We have experienced high rates of growth in the past year; and, having set a target of becoming a EUR10 million turnover business by 2020, we are now on track to meet or even exceed that projection'.
