Korean Polling Success Exported to the States

May 1 2018

South Korean firm BPU International has rolled out a US version of its SaaS election analytics product ZimGo Polling, described as the first 'emotion AI' election analytics and forecasting service for US campaigns.

Oh SanggyoonBPU's solutions combine emotional intelligence with artificial intelligence, using big data, sentiment and user behaviour analysis, and natural language processing. ZimGo Polling has been designed to understand 'citizen sentiment', and in the most recent South Korean presidential election proved more accurate than six other polling services, including Gallup and CBS Realmeter, according to BPU.

The new US version tracks elections using demographics and geography, providing daily and hourly analytics and trends. It reports on regional social media traffic and sentiment by candidate (in near real time); scores sentiment for trending campaign issues; and provides forecasts.

Oh Sanggyoon (pictured), CEO for BPU Holdings, enthuses: 'In today's connected world, data analytics must get smarter and faster to serve the real-time demands of election campaigning. Next generation artificial intelligence must assess human emotional sentiment. People vote on emotion. ZimGo Polling gains insights into how people feel about issues, thereby enabling a virtual 24/7 town hall meeting with citizens'.
