OMD USA Hires Olsen as First Chief Analytics Officer

Omnicom Media Group's OMD USA has hired former WPP exec Rolf Olsen for a newly created position, Chief Analytics Officer.

Rolf OlsenOlsen (pictured) joins after more than three years at WPP's media buying network Mindshare, where he served as Chief Data Officer and helped lead the development of Group M's Marketing Science discipline, as well as its proprietary data visualization and communication service The Loop. Before this, he worked for Aegis Media as SVP, Data and Insights at iProspect; VP, Director of Marketing Sciences at Carat; Head of Insight & Social Media at Diffiniti; and Integrated Data Planner at Aevolve.

In his new role, Olsen will lead a team of more than 120 marketing and data scientists. OMD USA CEO John Osborn comments: 'There are few clients clamoring for more data, but most are in urgent need of an agency partner that knows how to connect the right data in the right way to drive maximum business upside.
