Khoury Leaves ROi for 'True' African Data Focus

May 3 2018

In South Africa, media monitoring specialist Tonya Khoury has resigned from her role as MD of cross-media trend spotting and content measurement company ROi Africa.

Tonya KhouryPrior to setting up ROi four years ago, Khoury (pictured) served as MD of media monitoring firm DDI (Data Driven Insight), which provides insight across digital and traditional media. Earlier, she was MD of radio and television advertising and music data provider AFSTEREO, and she held senior roles at Ebiquity Jisani Digitrack, and Newsclip.

ROi Africa was established to provide near real-time media monitoring service across global and local print, radio, television, online and social media, along with analytics and sentiment analysis. Khoury is now leaving to move into a new area of media management, with a specific focus on 'true' African data and the interpretation of media analytics to enhance strategy and expand brand exposure.

Commenting on her resignation, Khoury said: 'ROi Africa deploys the finest technology in the world and integrating all media into a single platform is hopefully something I will be remembered for. I leave the company with a team of specialists, each carefully trained, and handpicked to ensure the machine works as it should. I believe ROi Africa has a bright future ahead and I wish the team every success they deserve'.
