Research Now SSI Adds More Voter Data

June 20 2018

Digital research and data firm Research Now SSI has partnered with voter data company Catalist to offer enhanced geo-political targeting.

Jared SchiersThe deal pairs Catalist's behavioral and modeled variables with Research Now SSI's first-party data and multi-mode survey capabilities to produce improved voter segments, and assist multi-mode (CATI and online) political polling of panel members.

Catalist's national database of more than 240 million unique voting-age individuals is built from Board of Election files from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, adding in third-party commercial, Census and specialty data and running continuous re-validation. Research Now SSI says such partnerships enable more precise research at the national, state, district and local level, and that it has the nation's largest, most accurate and most comprehensive online voter-matched panel.

The deal is the third such in the last six weeks. In mid-May RN SSI announced it would integrate data from its panels with Republican and conservative voter file business Data Trust; and the same week it teamed up with voter data specialist Aristotle. Catalist is associated with 'progressive' political clients, complementing the Data Trust integration.

Jared Schiers (pictured), SVP, Product Development at Research Now SSI, comments: 'Customers can drill down to explore congressional districts and other more local geographic boundaries to improve geo-political targeting. This data will help pollsters to gain meaningful insights around candidate perception, voter turnout, and key campaign issues, from voter history to hobbies and interests'.
